Role Description The Maintenance Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Charleston, SC, responsible for overseeing maintenance operations across assigned properties. This role includes planning and performing routine and preventive maintenance, coordinating repairs, and responding to service requests in a timely and professional manner. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead and schedule maintenance staff, manage vendors and contractors, and ensure all work meets safety, regulatory, and company standards. Daily tasks include inspecting buildings and grounds, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, maintaining equipment, and ensuring common areas and facilities are clean, safe, and functional. The role also involves maintaining inventories, documenting work orders, assisting with budgeting for maintenance projects, and providing clear communication with property management and residents.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry, with the ability to diagnose and resolve common facility issues.
- Experience supervising maintenance teams, coordinating schedules, and working with vendors and contractors to complete repairs and projects efficiently.
