Job Description

The individual will assist in the completion of organizational responsibilities in all functional areas within Human Resources and Environmental, Health, and Safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist with administrative duties within the Human Resources Department.
  • Process employment applications and maintain tracking log; assist in scheduling interviews and pre-employment testing
  • Administer employee engagement activities.
  • Assist implementation and management of EH&S programs, policies and procedures
  • Update Applicant Tracking System with new hires; off-board terminated employees
  • Prepare and conduct training
  • Conduct new hire orientations
  • Maintain weekly manpower schedule; Update Kronos with shift changes (audit records)
  • Run weekly attendance reports and administer corrective actions.
  • Assist and motivate with completion of required training courses.
  • Administer HRIS system changes.
  • Assist with employee benefit issues
  • Assist on various HR special projects; participate on a team.
  • Maintain employee files in HR systems
  • Assist with walk in questions
  • Participate in plant and departmental meetings.
  • Serve as back up to HR Manager
  • Identify hazardous conditions within the plant and recommend corrective measures
  • Investigate and prepare presentations for incidents and property losses
  • Assist with Management of Change reviews on production equipment and processes
  • Conduct safety risk assessments
  • Conduct safety walks
  • Conduct Regulatory Inspections
  • Completion of annual EHS internal assessment
  • Audit Action tracking and management
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • General Education High School Diploma with a minimum of three (3) years similar Human Resources position. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience is preferred. EHS Certificate or a minimum of (2) years in a EHS function.
