Job Description
- This is for either an 8-hour OR 12-hour position
To assist the Machine Operator in packing quality product, setting up, adjusting and operating a Converting machine that converts polyethylene plastic film to bags and/or roll stock for customer packaging needs.
Knowledge Requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work with and interact effectively and professionally with coworkers in a team environment
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to identify the source of problems on complex machinery, and, if noted, take the appropriate corrective action
- Must be able to read, understand and stay current with all department work instructions and procedures
- Good organizational skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience in converting and/or a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Occasional sitting
- Occasional standing
- Frequent walking
- Occasional below waste level work
- Occasional climbing, balancing, pushing/pulling
- Occasionally lifts up to 40 lbs.
- Frequent reaching above shoulder, reaching over 15” away from body
- Occasional fine motor and forceful motion
- Must have good vision and hearing and use of both hands
- Must be able to communicate with coworkers and Crew Leaders
- Must pass company administered color vision test
- Must be able to maintain regular attendance
