Job Description

SUMMARY: Supervise personnel and activities on assigned shift to ensure timely production of quality products in a safe manner.

SHIFT: 7AM - 8PM (Saturday, Sunday, and 1 Weekday)

RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:

  • Responsible for achieving safety, quality, and productivity goals on the shift.
  • Supervise production activities and provide direction and support shift.
  • Enforce Company policies, safety standards, quality, GMP's and ISO procedures.
  • Address employee concerns, resolve problems, train, coach and discipline employees.
  • Responsible for accurate production reporting (Mattec/WebEFF) and timekeeping (Kronos).
  • Drive improvements in production efficiency and MEEF.
  • Direct work assignments and ensure efficient labor utilization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience. Some college preferred.
  • 3 years experience in leadership position with proven ability to deliver desired results.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to motivate employees.
  • Strong technical, business, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in a union environment is a plus.
  • Able to plan and organize daily activities, analyze data and react to changes and challenges in the business.
  • Knowledge of molding operations and company procedures.
  • Able to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
  • Good software and computer skills.
  • Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically).
  • Capable of visual acuity to include distinguishing color variation and detecting defects.
  • Able to work safely in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.

The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $65,000 to $80,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
