Maintenance Mechanic

• Utilize preventative maintenance schedule from Maintenance Management program to schedule and perform machinery lubrication and repairs.
• Checks production machinery daily for visual, audible and other signs of malfunction or failure.
• Immediately corrects minor problems without interrupting production as needed
• Assists production personnel with mechanical problems.
• Performs corrective and preventative maintenance on gear drives, vacuum pumps, clutch/brake assemblies etc., as required.
• Maintains building utility equipment such as air compressors, water chillers, and air conditioners at optimum efficiency.
• Submits requisitions for purchase orders for repair parts and materials required in his/her area of responsibility.
• Maintains adequate supply of repair parts to service machinery and prevent prolonged machine down time.

The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $23.40; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience between $23.40 and $29.25.
