**Job Summary:**
Amcomm Incorporated is seeking a Utility Cable Placement Technician to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this role include installing, maintaining, and repairing utility cables for various systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
**Responsibilities:**
- Install and repair underground utility cables according to specifications.
- Outside plant fiber and copper placement.
- Handhole and manhole work.
- Dig ups, and duct repair.
- Building hits and interior fiber placements.
- Perform regular maintenance on existing utility cable systems.
- Utilize technical equipment and tools to test and troubleshoot cable systems.
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures while working on utility cable installations.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Keep detailed records of work completed and materials used.
**Qualifications:**
- . High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in utility cable placement or a related field.
- Knowledge of industry safety practices and guidelines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various outdoor conditions.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Certification in utility cable installation or a related field.
- Excavator experience is a plus.
- CDL prefered.
