Role Description The Director of Information Technology is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL, Phoenix, AZ or Fort Lauderdale, FL, responsible for overseeing all IT functions across the organization. This role manages day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, end-user support, and vendor relationships, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs. The Director will develop and execute IT strategy, lead technology projects, and partner with executive leadership to support organizational objectives. Daily responsibilities include supervising IT staff, optimizing network and systems performance, implementing cybersecurity practices, managing budgets, and maintaining policies and procedures. The role also involves assessing emerging technologies, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in IT Management and IT Operations, including leading teams and overseeing enterprise-wide technology environments.
- Strong foundation in Information Technology, with hands-on experience across infrastructure, systems, and applications.
- Proficiency in Network Security, including implementing security controls, monitoring risks, and responding to incidents.
- Ability to define and execute IT Strategy that supports organizational goals and drives modernization and efficiency.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop IT professionals.
- Experience managing IT budgets, vendors, and contracts, with a focus on cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with clear and professional communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP) are a plus.
- Experience in designing and maintaining on-site IT infrastructure and supporting a multi-department organization.
