Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for creating and executing programming availability notices that support AMCN’s initiatives to drive incremental revenue and secure media value. This includes the distribution of AMCN’s brands and streaming services across all platforms—ranging from third-party digital platforms such as Apple, Amazon, and Google Play, to MVPDs and free ad-supported platforms. This role will be part of the Distribution team, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that content launch dates are clearly and effectively communicated to partners. The position involves direct partner interaction and requires strong interpersonal communication skills. The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Experience in both traditional and streaming media is strongly preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage content availability ‘avails’ notices across all AMCN brands for both transactional (TVOD/EST) and subscription (AMC , WE tv, ALLBLK, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, Sundance TV, RLJE Films, and IFC Films)
- Accountable for maintaining operational alignment with distribution partners by communicating launch timelines, sharing content identifiers, distributing promotional assets, and troubleshooting operational challenges.
- Ensure accurate processing and validation of content availability and expirations by efficiently navigating external partner portals and internal systems
- Responsible for auditing Legal’s monthly expiration lists, maintaining accurate records in the Expiration Tracker, and coordinating with partners to address and resolve any inconsistencies.
- Engage with internal departments to build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring seamless coordination with teams including Content Distribution, Partner Management, Media Operations, Metadata, and Product.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, content operations advancements, and other relevant news to inform strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in marketing, business and/or communications
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in the media industry
- Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of management and directly with clients
- Well organized, detail oriented and able to balance shifting priorities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
