What You’ll Do:
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure complete, accurate, and compliant billing
- Assign, validate, and audit ICD-10, CPT, and other applicable medical codes
- Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for patients regarding billing questions, delivering professional and courteous communication
- Proactively follow up on unpaid, underpaid, or denied claims and resolve discrepancies
- Work claim errors and aging reports daily to support timely reimbursement
- Partner with providers, internal teams, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues efficiently
- Safeguard patient information and maintain strict HIPAA compliance
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 years of recent or current experience in medical billing and coding
- CPC or CPB certification highly preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and billing workflows
- Proficiency with billing software and electronic medical record systems; SIS experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy
