GENERAL SUMMARY:
- Western International High School - 1500 Scotten St, Detroit, MI 48209
- Henry Ford Health System’s School-Based and Community Health Program provides primary care and behavioral health services to children ages 5-21 regardless of health insurance coverage or ability to pay.
- Our clinics are located within more than a dozen schools in Detroit, Lincoln Park, and Macomb County, one community location, as well as a mobile medical unit that travels to various locations.
- Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence.
- RN will be responsible for assisting other RNs with care navigation across Network Project sites (Western High, Earhart Elementary, Maybury Elementary, and Munger Elementary)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor Degree preferred.
- Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test.
- Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
- Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
- Preferred experience in the specialty.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- 3 years as a RN required

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy.
