GENERAL SUMMARY:
Henry Ford Medical Center – Commerce offers physicians specializing in primary care services including internal medicine, radiology, and family medicine, which means they treat acute and chronic illnesses and provide patients of all ages and both sexes with preventive care and health education.
Located West of Union Lake Road.
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.
A successful candidate will need to have solid assessment skills, critical thinking skills, good communication skills.
General responsibilities will include: In-basket, patient assess, patient triage, medication refills, etc.
Patient population includes newborn thru geriatric so experience with both preferred.
Hours: 40 hour week 800-1630 Monday – Friday. No weekends or off shift, no holidays (0830-1700 may also be an option)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
Prior Primary Care, Internal or Family Medicine experience preferred
Prior ICU or ER or Women’s Health experience helpful
Prior in basket experience preferred
Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
Preferred experience in the specialty.
Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
Minimum of 2 years RN experience in an Ambulatory/Clinic or inpatient setting.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
