Project Manager

Serve as a Project Manager for an expanding chemical plant in the Houston Area. You will oversee medium to large projects from start to finish. Currently, they have 2 projects approved in the 20 – 40-million-dollar range and a third project of similar magnitude is in the works. This company has been extremely stable through all economic cycles and has an outstanding safety record (no OHSA recordables for last 6-7 years). The hiring manager has been with the company over 15 years.
- Manage project approvals, schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Prepare the engineering designs and project specifications
- Review and approve project drawings, flow sheets, isometrics, P&IDs
- Develops Request for Proposal packages with appropriate selection criteria and metrics
- Facilitate project safety during the construction phases
- Oversees contractor project activities
- Monitor project progress and performance against plans and resolve operational problems and delays
