Pay: $90,000 to $130,000 per year ( commensurate with experience )

Civil Concrete and Asphalt Superintendent

Location: Wichita, Kansas

Travel: Required, based on project location

The current project is in Wichita, Kansas, but this position will require travel to other states depending on changing project locations and company needs.

We are seeking an experienced Civil Concrete and Asphalt Superintendent to oversee field operations for heavy civil construction projects. This role is responsible for managing crews, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety standards, and maintaining project schedules to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

(Biligual Spanish preferred but not required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily field operations for civil concrete and asphalt projects
• Supervise crews, subcontractors, and site activities to ensure productivity and quality
• Coordinate project schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and safety requirements
• Monitor workmanship and project progress to meet deadlines and client expectations
• Communicate with project managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and field staff
• Identify and resolve field issues in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain organized jobsite documentation, reports, and daily updates

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a superintendent in heavy civil, concrete, and asphalt construction
• Strong knowledge of field operations, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
• Proven ability to manage multiple crews and maintain production goals
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and regulatory compliance
• Ability to read plans, specifications, and project schedules
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness and ability to travel as project locations change

Candidates should have superintendent-level experience in heavy civil construction, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage field operations safely and efficiently. Engineering experience and or field quality management experience is a plus.

Experience with any of the following programs is preferred but not required:

Bluebeam, AutoCAD, BricsCAD, NanoCAD, LibreCAD, ProgeCAD, QCAD, Rhino3D, Draftsight, Autodesk Fusion, SketchUp, Rayon, Autodesk Revit, BIM, Chief Architect.
