We are seeking a Construction-Estimating Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support our estimating and project management teams by preparing cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and assisting with bid preparations. Your contributions will help ensure our projects are completed efficiently and within budget. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop project management expertise, and contribute to the successful delivery of construction initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed construction cost estimates using Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine scope of work.
- Support negotiation efforts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Help monitor project costs and control expenses.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow on construction sites.
- Maintain organized records of bids, contracts, and project documentation.
- Contribute to the preparation of bid proposals and reports.
- Support the team in managing contracts and project schedules.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and construction materials
- Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills for coordinating between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction estimating, project management, or related roles within the construction industry.
- Proven experience with construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and Heavy Bid.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and cost control methods.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of contract management is a plus.
Salary: To be discussed during the interview
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
