Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Make Ready/Porter to join our team with Ambo Properties. This role is critical in preparing apartment homes for new residents, ensuring the property is clean, safe, and inviting. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and curb appeal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apartment Turnover: Perform "make ready" tasks to prepare vacant units for new residents, including cleaning, painting, minor repairs, and appliance checks.
- Property Maintenance: Assist with general property upkeep, including picking up trash, landscaping, and maintaining curb appeal.
- Cleaning & Maintenance Support: Clean and maintain common areas, such as hallways, lobbies, and laundry rooms.
- Inspection Support: Assist with property inspections and ensure all areas are in compliance with safety standards.
- Work Orders: Address minor maintenance work orders when necessary and report any major repairs to the maintenance team.
- Resident Interaction: Maintain a positive and friendly attitude toward residents and guests while completing tasks efficiently and with care.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance and leasing teams to ensure the smooth operation of the property.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Make Ready/Porter or similar role in property management or maintenance preferred.
- Basic knowledge of property maintenance tasks (painting, cleaning, minor repairs).
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Drivers Licensed (Required)
- Must be physically capable of performing manual labor tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background/Drug screening (Required)
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform outdoor tasks as needed.
