Child Care Teacher

Ambitious Academy is now hiring dynamic and experienced Lead Preschool Teachers for our two-year-old program in Jackson, MS!

We have 2 positions available:

• 1 full-time position in our new location in Jackson, MS. We will train you to teach 2-year-olds.
• 1 part-time position (no hours required) that will allow you to work online from your home.

Duties:

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for the children in your care.
• Perform basic care and cleaning duties as well as keep records of each child.
• Assist in the planning of activities for the children in your care. This could include but is not limited to reading stories to them, following a storybook sequence, conducting experiments, or helping them build social skills by participating in various playgroups.
• Help maintain a healthy self-concept for the children in your care by developing your own activities and interests with them while remaining calm and composed in high and low stress situations.
• Communicate with parents as needed. This could include but is not limited to checking on the children, attending parent-teacher conferences, or simply sending text messages.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
