Your MissionAs a senior VFD expert serving NY/NJ, you’ll own installation, commissioning, and service for multi-brand Variable Frequency Drives. You’ll respond to urgent breakdowns, complete on-site repairs, perform preventive maintenance, and guide customers toward upgrades that elevate reliability and performance.
Challenges You’ll Tackle- Commission, start up, and validate the performance of diverse VFD platforms.
- Strengthen service operations by supporting staffing efficiency, customer retention, cost management, and goal attainment.
- Nurture long-term customer relationships that generate repeat work and referrals.
- Deliver repair quality that minimizes callbacks.
- Communicate progress and risks clearly to customers and management.
- Offer timely, protocol-aligned recommendations for additional services.
- Lead with safety—protecting yourself and those around you by following procedures without compromise.
- At least 5 years of direct, multi-manufacturer VFD experience.
- Driver’s license; ability to lift 50 lbs and work from ladders/at heights.
- Expertise with three-phase motors and control circuits.
- Fluency in reading electrical/mechanical drawings, safety guidance, O&M manuals, and technical documentation including P&IDs, fabrication drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Hands-on installation and troubleshooting of heating and cooling systems.
- OSHA 30 and SST certifications.
- Capability to produce thorough inspection and appraisal reports.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution skills; clear written and oral reporting.
- Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting aptitude.
- Foundational computer skills.
- Experience programming, calibrating, and configuring 4-20 MA and 0-10 Vdc devices.
- Track record of working independently without direct supervision.
- Nice to have: background with gas detection systems and DriSteem humidifiers.
Estimated salary: $45–$64 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
Region & TravelField-based role serving client sites across New York and New Jersey.
