About the Role
Ambi Wine Bar is looking for a part-time cook to join our team in historic downtown Anoka. This person takes pride in our space, stays calm when it gets busy, and works cleanly and quickly. You’ll prep and plate our rotating menu of shareable starters, flatbreads, boards, snacks, and desserts in our cozy wine-bar.

Responsibilities
- Quickly prep, assemble, cook/heat, and plate menu items with care (ex. charcuterie, flatbreads, and plated desserts)
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and up to safety and sanitation standards
- Stay current on the rotating menu, specials, and ingredient stock
- Time tickets so food goes out with service
- Note dietary restrictions and special requests
- Restock, label, and rotate product
- Occasionally help with special events and private parties
- Follow appearance and grooming standards
- Communicate clearly with front-of-house and flag issues to management
Qualifications
- Prior kitchen, prep, or line-cook experience (wine bar, café, coffee shop, or similar preferred)
- Strong food-safety and sanitation habits
- Able to regularly and consistently work evenings and weekends
- Must be able to speak and write in English
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Comfortable with a compact kitchen and a light-bites menu (assembly, cooking, plating)
- Flexibility and the ability to multitask during rushes
- Basic inventory and prep-list skills
- Team-first attitude with front-of-house
