The Exhaust QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all semiconductor exhaust tool hookup installations are completed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, client requirements, applicable codes, and industry quality standards. This position performs field inspections, verifies installation quality, coordinates testing activities, manages quality documentation, and supports project turnover to the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform QA/QC inspections for semiconductor exhaust systems, ductwork, and tool hookup installations.
- Verify installations comply with approved construction drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and client standards.
- Conduct inspections throughout all phases of construction, including receiving, installation, testing, and final acceptance.
- Prepare and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection reports, quality records, and turnover documentation.
- Identify, document, and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Coordinate quality inspections with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Monitor punch list items and verify timely completion before project turnover.
- Support pressure testing, leak testing, system verification, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with TSMC quality requirements, cleanroom protocols, and project documentation standards.
- Participate in internal audits, client audits, and quality meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate project documentation using electronic document control systems.
- Promote a strong safety culture while maintaining quality standards throughout the project.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical, HVAC, exhaust, or piping construction.
- Minimum 2 years of QA/QC inspection experience on industrial or semiconductor projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical installation methods and quality control processes.
Required Certifications / Licenses
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- QA/QC Certification (preferred)
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent (preferred)
Preferred Industry Experience

- Ability to walk construction sites, climb ladders, and lift up to 30 lbs when necessary.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
