Full-time with occasional overtime. Dedicated Quality Control Inspector with a proven ability to detect defects, ensure compliance with specifications, and maintain the highest standards of product quality in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Hours: Mon. - Thurs. 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Company Description:
The company is an established manufacturer which has been producing standardized and customized products requiring machining since 1941. The products are renowned in their respective industry for safety and reliability. The company performs most manufacturing operations in the single facility and is classified as a small manufacturer with approximately 45 employees.
Position Description:
Non-Destructive Testing Inspectors test non-destructive components using the magnetic particle or liquid penetrant inspection method in accordance with ADB’s written internal procedure.
Position Requirements:
Perform inspections in accordance with the procedures and methods to determine the overall quality of the product;
Ensure that the equipment used for testing is functioning as prescribed in the procedures and according to safety regulations;
Prioritize work orders based on customer orders, rush orders, or stock orders (notated on the work order traveler & in the computer system or by NDT Lead);
Generate and organize reports for NDT inspection and evaluations, and fill out necessary paperwork (work traveler, reject tags, etc.);
Move completed work to the next operation as required;
Other duties outside of the NDT department may be required based on workload and demands of other departments;
May be required to read calipers, micrometers, or other measuring devices. (Training provided);
Keep work area clean and free of debris and other trip/slip hazards and other objects.
Educational Requirements:
At least a high school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
Attend a 12-hour classroom training session. Complete 80 OTJ training hours at ADB, pass 3 individual exams (2 written and 1 practical) with an 80% or better score and a composite (average) score of 80%. All examinations are taken on-site with our NDT Level III.
Experience Requirements:
No experience required.
All training is provided on-site by our NDT Level III. All training materials are provided.
Candidates with previous experience must provide proof of prior certifications and all documents related to being certified.
Other Requirements:
Must pass a near vision acuity exam, paid for by ADB. Must be able to read a Jaeger 1 line or equivalent type and size letter at a distance not less than 12 inches.
Must be able to distinguish and differentiate contrast among colors on Ishihara Color Plates.
Job Conditions:
Excessive standing for multiple hours in one spot.
Lifting up to 70 lbs. by yourself. Over 90 pounds requires team lift.
Work in a room with little to no visible light.
Generate reports on computer using Microsoft Word as required
Clock in/out of work using an internal system
