Position Summary
The Die Cutter Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining die cutting equipment to produce high-quality finished products in accordance with production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Applicants must meet minimum age requirements based on local labor laws
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of Die Cutting or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to write legibly and maintain detailed records
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Physically able to stand, walk, and move between machines for long periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Responsibilities
Setup & Operation:
- Set up and adjust die cutting equipment based on job specifications.
- Operate die cutting machines to cut, crease, etc. paperboard.
Quality Control:
- Inspect materials for defects before and after cutting to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Perform routine quality checks during production to maintain consistent output.
Maintenance:
- Conduct routine cleaning and basic maintenance of die cutting equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Ensure the work area is clean and organized.
Documentation:
- Accurately complete production records, including job tickets, material usage, and maintenance logs.
Hours & Pay
- Current Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Regular Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Overtime: Required as needed
- Pay Range: $18.00-$24.00/hr
- Job Type: Full-time
