Position Summary
The Stripper is responsible for removing excess waste from die-cut sheets to produce clean, separated cartons ready for downstream processes such as folding and gluing. This role ensures product quality by accurately stripping waste, identifying defects, and maintaining efficient material flow within the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove scrap material from die-cut sheets to separate individual cartons
- Ensure all cartons are cleanly stripped without tearing or damage
- Identify defective cartons or sheets
- Stack, jog, and organize finished cartons neatly on skids/pallets
- Maintain proper counts and assist with labeling or documentation as required
- Assist die cutter operators with material handling and workflow support
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Communicate quality or production issues to operators and supervisors
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in packaging or manufacturing a plus, but not required—willing to train motivated individuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 60 lbs.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
Hours & Pay
- Regular Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Overtime: Required as needed
- Pay Range: $16.70/hr
