Position Summary
The Gluer Inspector/Packer is responsible for inspecting, packing, and ensuring the quality of folding cartons produced on the folder-gluer machines. This role plays a vital part in delivering top-quality products to our customers by maintaining attention to detail and adhering to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Inspection & Quality Control:
- Inspect cartons during and after production for defects, such as gluing issues, printing flaws, or incorrect folds.
- Ensure products meet quality specifications before packing.
- Communicate quality issues promptly to machine operators or supervisors.
- Segregate nonconforming product based on instructions provided.
Packing & Handling:
- Neatly and accurately pack finished cartons into cases according to job specifications.
- Ensure case label matches cartons.
- Ensure accurate count and packaging integrity.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in packaging or manufacturing a plus, but not required—willing to train motivated individuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
Hours & Pay
- Current Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Regular Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Overtime: Required as needed
- Pay Range: $16.70/hr
- Job Type: Full-time
