Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, bathroom sanitation, and replenishing amenities to ensure a spotless environment.
- Handle various cleaning tasks using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms by executing routine janitorial and industrial cleaning procedures.
- Safely manage chemical handling and heavy lifting tasks involved in floor care and sanitation processes.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently, ensuring safety protocols are observed during all cleaning activities.
- Conduct inspections to verify that rooms meet cleanliness standards before guest check-in and after check-out.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management for swift resolution.
Experience
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience or custodial/janitorial experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and industrial cleaning techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of floor cleaning, chemical agent handling, sanitation standards, and cleaning equipment operation is essential.
- Experience with hotel emergency procedures and understanding safety data sheets (SDS) ensures safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with guests and team members in a hospitality setting.
