Position Summary:
We are looking for enthusiastic and dependable Mentors to support students during before and after care hours. Availability: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM or split shift (6:45 AM-8:45 AM & 3:00 PM-6:00 PM). Mentors will engage youth in robotics and STEM-based learning activities while also serving as positive role models and providing consistent emotional and academic support. Must be able to reliably commute to West or North Philadelphia sites.
Position Begins 8/18/2025
Schedule: Monday- Friday
Split shifts 6:45am -8:45am and 3:00pm-6:00pm
OR
Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm-6:00pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering robotics and STEM activities in a fun and engaging way.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students while promoting respect and responsibility.
- Support lead teachers with classroom management and daily programming.
- Help with homework assistance, enrichment activities, and small group mentoring.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with staff, families, and students.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education, child development, or STEM a plus.
- Previous experience working with children in afterschool, camp, or educational settings preferred.
- Interest in robotics, technology, or youth development strongly encouraged.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to being a consistent presence for students.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass background checks and clearances (FBI, PA Child Abuse, PA State Police & NSOR (National Sex Offender Registry)
Salary : $18 - $19
