What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interpreter position at Ambar Interpreting?
Ambar Interpreting is building its roster.
I’m a Certified Medical Interpreter and the owner of Ambar Interpreting LLC, an Arizona-based language services company.
As I grow my client base, I’m building a network of professional interpreters and translators I can call on when assignments come in.
What I’m looking for:
Interpreters and translators in any language; spoken or signed, including ASL
-based in Arizona
I’m especially interested in folks who can cover:
• Medical interpreting (CMI, CHI, or working toward certification)
• Community and business interpreting
• OPI and VRI work
• Document translation
• Specialty settings: behavioral health,medical, legal,education, immigration
A few things to know up front:
• This is 1099 independent contractor work, not employment
• Schedules are not consistent.assignments come as clients book them
• Rates are competitive and paid per assignment
• Onboarding requires a signed contractor agreement, W-9
• All interpreters must follow the National Code of Ethics
Why join my roster?
I’m building this company differently. No commodity rates. No race to the bottom. I want to work with interpreters who take this work seriously and want to be treated like professionals, because that’s how I treat my clients too.
