Your day at a glance
On your shift, you’ll prepare molding presses based on the production plan, bring tools online, and dial in processing parameters to hit quality and throughput targets. You’ll keep an eye on cycle times and scrap, make incremental adjustments, and document any changes. When needed, you’ll package finished parts, operate and troubleshoot the semi-automatic “click-machine” used for chain assembly, and jump in to resolve issues with auxiliary equipment. You’ll also complete routine inspections and preventive maintenance to keep everything running smoothly.

Standing for extended periods is common, and you’ll occasionally lift or push completed product up to 90 pounds.

What you’ll do
- Set up, start, and stabilize injection molding machines per schedule.
- Monitor and optimize process parameters for quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot molding presses, tooling, and auxiliary systems.
- Perform routine inspections and assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Record process changes and maintain accurate production documentation.
- Operate and troubleshoot the semi-automatic “click-machine” for chain assembly.
- Package products and support internal production demands.
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce scrap and improve cycle times.
- 5:00am–5:30pm Friday–Sunday
- 10:30pm–7:00am Monday–Friday
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2 years of hands-on injection molding processing.
- Technical strength: Solid knowledge of molding processes, tooling, and semi-automatic equipment.
- Blueprint literacy: Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Problem-solving & communication: Detail-driven, proactive, and clear communicator.
- Equipment operation: Safe operation of overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Quality focus: Skilled with precision measurement tools and strict quality standards.
- Nice to have: Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
