Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, and organize furniture and household or office items using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary
- Drive box trucks or commercial vehicles with manual transmission to transport items between locations while adhering to route schedules and safety protocols
- Assist customers with their moving needs by providing friendly, professional service and clear communication throughout the process
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring all items are secured properly for transit and delivery
- Use warehouse equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks to handle large or heavy items safely within storage facilities or during loading/unloading procedures
- Follow safety guidelines diligently to prevent injuries during heavy lifting or moving activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements for record-keeping purposes
Experience
- Prior experience in moving services, delivery driving, or warehouse operations is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment
- Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or courier vans with manual transmission
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus
- Customer service background that emphasizes clear communication and professionalism during client interactions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
