Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. - Analyze business requirements, throughput calculations, and simulation results to validate design safety
- Partner with WGM teams and powered industrial vehicle technology team in Operations Engineering to mitigate PIT, MEWP, and AGV related risks in new building designs
- Ensure building layouts meet safety standards for PIT, MEWP, and AGV operations
- Define and implement best practices with global Mobility subject matter experts
- Create solutions that address operational safety risks while maintaining building efficiency
- Document design gaps and provide actionable solutions
- Update policies based on regulatory changes and internal safety performance metrics
- Involves travel 30-50% of the time

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Design, or related field
- 6 years of design experience
- Proven experience validating and implementing design changes
- Experience with full system development lifecycle and solution quality
- Design-for-Safety expertise
- Expert in AutoCAD, REVIT or any other CAD program
- Consensus-building and communication skills
- Master's degree in Engineering, Design, or related field
- 8 years of design experience
- Knowledge of CFR, ANSI, ISO, and OSHA standards
- Technical writing experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Adaptability to fast-paced environments with changing priorities
