The AIS-SC Power & Cooling team is looking for a results-oriented individual to own supply management for Data Center Power & Cooling Equipment. Our Supply Managers are experts in their industries who deliver the supply that helps drive the explosive growth of AWS.

As a member of the Power and Cooling Supply Chain Operations Team, you will manage the global supply chain for one or more of the categories that reside within the Power and Cooling Equipment space supporting AWS Data Center build projects. This role's primary responsibility is to maintain unconstrained supply on a global scale for the responsible categories and work with our internal customers and business partners to understand demand signals and drive the appropriate supply strategies to deliver continuity of supply.

Responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and manages supply chain strategies on a global scale for complex electrical and mechanical solutions that deliver power to data centers
- Develop strategically impactful operational processes that can scale post-delivery commissioning capacity and milestone impacting defect management
- Unblock compute capacity delivery through rigorous audit of suppliers' commissioning, on-site support, quality remediation readiness
- Execute data-driven supplier performance management for post-delivery execution
- Escalate and solve critical milestone impacting issues by establishing repeatable process with suppliers
- Establish spare strategy to aid in unblocking construction and commissioning schedules
- Drive the strategic commercial negotiations with suppliers to ascertain capacity with lowest cost structure
- Develop and maintain supplier capacity modeling both from equipment and on-site commissioning support resourcing perspectives
- Understand demand inputs and position supply to support unconstrained growth at AWS scale in both the short-term and long-term horizons
- Engage with global supply chain counterparts to drive leading supply chain practices and initiatives
- Develop analytical reports to deliver information to business partners and stakeholders that support improved decision making
- Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals
- Identify and drive realization of opportunities for sustainable, scalable, relative advantage in your category
- Requires travel up to 15% of the year

Function Specific Work Activities:
- Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base opportunities to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize industry developments that benefit Amazon
- Identify and pursue opportunities to leverage and consolidate the supply base using system level tools and techniques
- Understand forecasting, demand planning, material planning, and manufacturing processes to verify supply commitments
- Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and build resiliency into the supply chain without driving excess
- Drive supplier improvement initiatives to continually lower risk and reduce lead times
- Influence suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations

Basic Qualifications

- 5 years of program, project or product management, or leading product implementation experience
- 2 years of related industry experience
- 8 years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments
- Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company
- Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
- Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction
- Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners
- Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
