Sr Creative Director, Elevated Shopping

We are looking for an experienced Creative Director to lead our global brand-funded work-stream. Based in New York, this role sits at the intersection of creative excellence, brand partnership, and scalable content production — delivering premium visual content on behalf of brand partners while upholding Amazon's quality standards and creative vision.
You will define and oversee the brand packages presented each year during annual vendor negotiations — spanning marketing, bespoke brand experiences, and eCommerce solutions that solve key customer problems. Day to day, you will translate brand briefs into compelling, high-quality content experiences across still, motion, and interactive formats. Working closely with brand stakeholders, marketing teams, and production partners, you will ensure every piece of content meets the creative bar while delivering against commercial objectives and timelines.

Key job responsibilities
• Own end-to-end Creative Direction for all VCEP brand-funded content, from brief through to final delivery
• Define and oversee all pitch material for annual vendor negotiations, shaping the creative packages presented to brand partners
• Serve as the primary creative point of contact for brands, building trusted relationships and translating their vision into executional excellence
• Develop and present creative concepts, mood boards, and visual strategies aligned to brand guidelines and Amazon's content standards
• Oversee production planning, art direction, and post-production quality across still life, on-figure, and motion content
• Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Brand, UX, and Production to ensure seamless delivery and alignment
• Capture and incorporate voice-of-brand feedback, ensuring content reflects partner expectations while maintaining creative integrity
• Champion the integration of GenAI tools and emerging technologies into workflows to drive efficiency and scale without compromising quality
• Establish and maintain creative frameworks, templates, and ways of working that enable repeatable, scalable delivery across multiple brand partners
• Manage creative resources, timelines, and budgets in partnership with Production and Project Management
• Provide high-level creative guidance and quality assurance across all outputs, acting as the final gatekeeper before delivery

About the team
The Design team sit within the Elevated Shopping org and operate as the creative strategic center for Premium, Luxury, and brand funded experiences — functioning as an in-house creative agency delivering bespoke content at scale. We blend traditional craft with emerging technology, pioneering responsible AI integration while maintaining the highest quality standards across all outputs.

Basic Qualifications

- 8 years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience art directing motion designers, illustrators, writers and content creators
- Experience partnering with technical partners for design implementation
- Bachelor's degree in in graphic design, industrial design, digital communications design, visual arts, mass communications, art, or equivalent
- • Understanding of eCommerce and marketing content requirements and performance metrics (CTR, conversion)
- Experience managing brand relationships and translating client briefs into creative executions

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and ability to implement them to create dynamic advertising solutions
- Knowledge of typographic and brand design principles
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
