The Prime Video Advertising team is at the forefront of revolutionizing the streaming advertising landscape. Our mission is to deliver ad tech solutions that power Prime Video's rapidly growing advertising business. We focus on a wide range of critical areas including ad ingestion, ad delivery, client-side ad experiences, machine learning-driven optimization, ad tracking, and audience measurement. We're seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our client engineering team delivering innovative advertising formats across living room, iOS, Android, and web platforms.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of client engineers building state-of-the-art advertising experiences
- Drive technical excellence and innovation in advertising technology across multiple device platforms
- Define your team's charter, tech vision while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless ad formats that enhance the Prime Video user experience
- Own delivery timelines, technical roadmaps, and team development
- Define metrics to measure team development progress, customer experience, and operational excellence.
- Balance advertiser needs with user experience quality, ensuring non-intrusive, high-performing ad solutions
Basic Qualifications
- 3 years of engineering team management experience
- 7 years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
- Experience building client experience using React, Rust, IOS and modern web technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
