This senior-level role combines learning strategy, instructional design, and hands-on development of digital training content to deliver scalable, compliance-focused learning experiences.
In this role, you will partner with global business leaders, subject matter experts and leadership development teams to define learning strategies, assess performance gaps, and develop innovative training across modalities. You will also evaluate impact, drive continuous improvement, and lead complex learning initiatives with minimal oversight.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to develop learning strategies that align training programs with compliance priorities, business goals, and learner needs.
- Conduct performance analysis and needs assessments to identify learning opportunities and recommend right-sized, scalable solutions, mapped by audience.
- Development of training strategies, including writing clear, compelling documents that articulate goals, rationale, and execution plans to gain alignment from stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into engaging learning experiences using evidence-based instructional design.
- Design and develop multimodal training content, including eLearning, videos, simulations, job aids, and instructor-led materials using Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva.
- Establish and maintain design standards, templates, and scalable development processes across learning projects.
- Guide the use of appropriate learning technologies and modalities to drive engagement, retention, and behavior change.
- Define learning success metrics and evaluation strategies aligned to business outcomes.
- Analyze training effectiveness and share insights with stakeholders to guide decision-making and demonstrate business impact.
- Manage multiple high-impact projects with competing deadlines in a
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7 years of experience in instructional design, training strategy, and program management
- Experience conducting performance needs assessments and developing learning strategy aligned to business goals
- Demonstrated expertise in eLearning tools including Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), multimedia production, and LMS administration
- Experience in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and project tracking tools (e.g., Asana)
- Portfolio showcasing end-to-end instructional design and development across various modalities, including Articulate Storyline examples
- Advanced technology degree or AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
- Deep understanding of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
- Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences as part of pre-sales motion
