Description

Do you want a role with deep meaning and the ability to make a major impact? As part of Intelligent Talent Acquisition (ITA), you'll have the opportunity to reinvent the hiring process and deliver unprecedented scale, sophistication, and accuracy for Amazon Talent Acquisition operations. ITA is an industry-leading people science and technology organization made up of scientists, engineers, analysts, product professionals and more, all with the shared goal of connecting the right people to the right jobs in a way that is fair and precise. Last year we delivered over 6 million online candidate assessments, and helped Amazon deliver billions of packages around the world by making it possible to hire hundreds of thousands of workers in the right quantity, at the right location and at exactly the right time. You’ll work on state-of-the-art research, advanced software tools, new AI systems, and machine learning algorithms, leveraging Amazon's in-house tech stack to bring innovative solutions to life. Join ITA in using technologies to transform the hiring landscape and make a meaningful difference in people's lives. Together, we can solve the world's toughest hiring problems.

You will serve as the single threaded Senior Program Manager to consult and advise on the development of innovative tools and programs that use science to hire high quality candidates. You will drive the creation of scalable solutions across multiple programs and languages, and be responsible for product implementation, change management and communication strategies. Successful candidates will have experience in talent assessment, technology organizations, are passionate about serving their clients, have excellent problem solving abilities and are able to influence without authority across all levels of the organizational hierarchy. The ideal candidate will have strong program management, communication and analytical skills; the ability to drive decision making while challenging the status quo; and experience driving large scale, matrixed global projects that have significant impact on the customer and wider organization.

Key job responsibilities
Work closely with our Talent Acquisition teams and hiring organization teams to deliver innovative recruiting and assessment strategies for candidates, improving our quality of hire.
• Develop strategic program roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholders, product and operations teams. Be able to reassess priorities should program needs change.

• Create and maintain multiple, complex and concurrent program plans.
• Negotiate resources and work timelines to ensure on-time completion and deliver desired business results.
• Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
• Communicate status risks, and changes of program milestones to a large user population and senior business leaders.
• Analyze and report out on Talent Acquisition data and research to stakeholders. Consolidate and produce metrics and insights that reflect success or failure criteria. Dive deep into defect data to root cause problematic products or processes and advice on corrective actions.
• Negotiate platform integration and use, technical support and implementation of continuous improvements.
• Partner with technical teams to derive program requirements, develop delivery mechanisms for our candidates, and research new assessment capabilities.
• Surface opportunities to innovate to continuously improve organizational efficiency.
