The Dangerous Goods (DG) team is looking for a motivated Senior Program Manager with strong regulatory experience, operational knowledge, logistics experience, and a hands-on passion to dive deep into processes that support Amazon's growth in a safe environment for customers, partners, and associates.

Working across procurement, transportation services, delivery experience, returns and re-commerce, technology, storage, legal, public policy, and other relevant internal teams on a global scale, this Senior Program Manager will ensure the safety of our associates and transportation partners by delivering innovative solutions for the safe and compliant transportation of DG, redefining industry best practices and standards, and safely enabling an ever-changing borderless business model.

This Senior Program Manager will plan and execute DG policies, controls, and processes to ensure the safe and compliant transportation of DG across a global supply chain. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, consultants, and regulators, this role will drive safety and compliance across customer deliveries and reverse logistics, enable new selection, and expand business and transportation models. Key job responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement projects across global teams, ensuring Amazon Network Fulfillment (AFN) leads the industry in transportation safety and compliance.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects aimed at building a best-in-class Dangerous Goods transportation system.
  • Convert large and complex projects into manageable pieces to deliver iterative improvements while focusing on longer-term, large-scale deliverables.
  • Build collaborative relationships with leaders across regions, departments, and business units.
  • Refine existing program processes to more efficiently track and prioritize issues, enabling the team to scale its work.
  • Anticipate project bottlenecks, manage escalations, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus operational or technical constraints.
