Description

The Last Mile Content team is looking for a Content Designer to build scalable Associate and Exempt Leader training North America Amazon Last Mile. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, planning and managing on-the-job learning programs including content design, development and measurement across multiple modalities and formats. The ideal candidate will have proven instructional design experience, strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders. You will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. This is an individual contributor role where cross-functional partnerships will be key to success.

Candidates should be prepared to share a portfolio during the interview process.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage projects amidst ambiguity, competing priorities, and challenging deadlines, adapting quickly to changing circumstances, processes and priorities
  • Maintain a deep understanding of program and learner roles to ensure that learning solutions align with audience training needs
  • Partner with subject matter experts and program stakeholders to identify learning goals and outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs that can be addressed via learning solutions
  • Design, develop and deploy learning modules, scenarios, simulations, videos, job aides, instructor-led training, remote instructor-led training, eLearning and knowledge assessments
  • Measure impact and quickly revise content/modality to address specific feedback, as needed
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of templates, learning models and overall best practices
  • Demonstrate knowledge of learning principles and methodologies and ability to communicate difficult concepts and processes using clear and simple language and visuals
  • Identify gaps, assess needs, create goals, and work backwards to develop right-sized learning solutions
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments in learning design and learning analytics through continuous research to drive innovation

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices
  • Experience in creating learning content and instructional materials

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
