Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Key job responsibilities:

• Own PCBA development from concept through production
• Design and optimize different blocks of electronics sub-systems
• Design high-speed digital circuitry in collaboration with various teams
• Lead and review schematic capture and PCB layout
• Lead PCB vendor engagement for DFM review
• Optimize PCB stack-up for performance and cost
• Generate test plans/procedures based off high level requirement definition
• Complete board bring-up and perform test campaigns for different modules and subsystems
• Design of automated test systems, test fixtures, and factory test
• Support the transition of the designs to production

Basic qualifications:

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
• BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
• 7 years of industrial experience especially board level analog/digital design
• 1 years of experience in high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity
• 3 years of experience in using schematic
• 2 years of experience using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters
• Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with the project management of technical projects
• Masters of Science or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering
• Familiarity with analog electronic fundamentals (transistor circuits, op-amps, filters, etc)
• Experience in design, implementation, bring up and debugging of proof of concept HW and prototypes
• Familiarity with power supply design
• Previous work experience in a programming language
• Proficiency in developing programs for instrument control

This posting is for a contract assignment with Tundra Technical Solutions to provide services to Amazon.

The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $69.30hour - $78.54/hour.

Pay: $77.00 - $87.00 per hour
