As a Research Scientist, you will work with a unique and gifted team developing exciting products for consumers and collaborate with cross-functional teams. At the intersession of both academic and applied research in this product area, you have the opportunity to work together with some of the most talented scientists, engineers, and product managers.

Basic Qualifications

- Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree and 5 years of quantitative field research experience
- Experience investigating the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to business problems and products
- Experience analyzing both experimental and observational data sets

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
- Knowledge of data analysis languages (e.g., R, Stata, Python, etc.) or other statistical software
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Experience working effectively with science, data processing, and software engineering teams
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Expertise with cutting edge life science-related tools and concepts
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with great attention to detail and record keeping.
- Work hands-on within a team of researchers to extend and interpret advanced methodologies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
