North American Sortation Center (NASC) Engineering is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented Operations Engineers to support Process Design Engineering initiatives, developing and delivering next generation, world-class sortation and transportation systems. We’re looking to add a high-impact Operations Engineer to our team. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for our sortation and distribution systems. Your projects will be a variety of template-based and designed-from-scratch along with ownership of Process Designs end to end complimenting each Design.
You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. Our team works on hundreds of projects each year. You will be challenged; you will learn; you will work on high impact, high visibility projects; you will grow.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Key job responsibilities
- Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network through material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.
- Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.
- Effective communication skills, ability to execute the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions.
- 50% travel requirement to visit sites and support projects.
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level
- Experience working with and managing third party vendors
- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing
- Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
