Description

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

As part of the Leo Capacity team, you will play a pivotal role in managing network capacity to support sales across commercial, enterprise, and government business verticals. Your primary focus will be defining product requirements and driving development of the Capacity Reservation system integrated with our capacity planning and demand planning processes, ensuring reliable customer commitments while optimizing network resource utilization.

Working closely with engineering, finance, and business development teams, you will support both direct sales and partnership channels, enabling data-driven decisions about resource allocation to support Leo's growth objectives.

The ideal candidate brings experience in technical product management with a focus on network inventory management systems and operational processes. You should be comfortable working with complex datasets, building analytical frameworks, and developing clear processes for implementing changes. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as you'll work across multiple technical and business teams to implement and maintain these critical systems.

Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to transform complex technical concepts into clear, actionable processes. You should be energized by the challenge of building robust frameworks that can scale with our growing network while maintaining precision and reliability.

Key job responsibilities

Define and align product vision with business goals, and develop the product roadmap to achieve the product vision and business results.

Collaborate with global accounting partners and product managers to identify detailed product requirements and work closely with engineering to manage feature release schedules, risks, and trade-offs.

Influence technical design in partnership with engineering teams across Leo and Amazon to ensure technology choices are aligned to our needs, and ensure product re-usability and avoid redundancies.

Develop testing and communication plans for feature releases.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
