Key job responsibilities
The Principal ADC Engineer serves as the subject matter expertise across a wide range of engineering disciplines related to the Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) business sector. The position requires an adept engineer to lead novel technical solutions of the most complex ADC-related issues facing the business, partnering with a wide array of internal and external technical stakeholders. The role serves as the first line of escalation for technical issues facing a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, unblocking capacity designs through strategic problem solving. The role requires an experienced licensed engineer, with a intimate knowledge of data center technology, AWS's basis of design, and infrastructure requirements for federal sponsors (i.e. ICD705).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Licensed Engineer
- 10 years Data Center industry experience (including 2 years experience with AWS ADC Data Centers)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years experience maintaining/operating/designing AWS ADC Data Centers
- ICD705 Design experience
- Proven record of solving significantly complex technical issues

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $146,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
