Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Key job responsibilities
- Providing advice and support to security teams and others on compliance with all manner of security laws and regulations, including cybersecurity, data privacy and data breach laws.
- Leading the legal response for security incidents, directing investigation, assessing legal obligations and advising on and drafting customer and regulator communications.
- Supporting our teams in drafting and presenting security-related documents to various audiences including executive leadership.
- Working collaboratively with teams including Compliance, Public Policy, Public Relations, Privacy and partner legal teams.
- Managing outside counsel relationships, directing budgeting and allocation of resources, staffing and strategic approaches to work.
- Providing legal advice and support on security aspects of due diligence and M&A agreements.

Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience advising on cybersecurity legal compliance.
- Experience providing legal support in data security event response.
