Compliance Specialist, Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance Legal

Description

Help protect customers by ensuring the products sold on Amazon's Store are safe and compliant. As a Compliance Specialist, you'll identify emerging risks, manage compliance initiatives, and collaborate with business teams to build solutions that keep customers safe. You'll engage directly with regulators, partner with selling partners on safety standards, and work across legal, policy, and business teams to navigate complex regulatory frameworks.


Key job responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze product regulatory developments in the United States
- Develop and implement compliance solutions with business and operational teams, clearing blockers and accelerating progress toward program goals
- Engage regulators about compliance programs and products sold on Amazon's Store
- Advise business teams on emerging risks and lead efforts to devise and execute risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with selling partners to enhance product compliance and safety standards

A day in the life
Your day will be dynamic and impactful, focusing on monitoring product safety regulations, engaging with regulatory bodies, and developing comprehensive compliance solutions. You'll work across multiple teams, leveraging technology and strategic thinking to implement robust compliance processes that safeguard customer experiences.


About the team
Our Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, & Compliance (RISC) Legal team works to make Amazon's Store safe for customers, empower selling partners with clear compliance standards, and help the business navigate complex regulatory frameworks. We partner across legal, policy, and business teams to drive product safety and compliance outcomes at scale.

Basic Qualifications

- 4 years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams to execute tactical initiatives or equivalent
- Experience with research and investigation skills or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
