The starting pay for this position is listed below including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location. Key job responsibilities
- Tasks performed may include billing, data entry, obtaining prescriptions and refills,
- Assist the pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of
- Communicate with patients, providers, pharmacies and insurance companies by

- Enter patients and order information into the pharmacy systems. Establish and
- Process and submit prescription insurance claims for our customers along with
incomplete information, therapy changes and pharmacy or shipping errors.
- Keeping patients informed on the status of their prescription or out of pocket costs in
- Perform account adjustments, method of payment, banking and unbilled
- Verify insurance data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to billing
amounts.
- Research missing and incomplete information resulting in billing errors and denials
- Complete prior authorizations with attention to detail and accuracy, prior to sending
- Transfer calls, tickets, claims, or shipments to the pharmacist when necessary
- Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refill

- Collect, organize, and evaluate patient information, while maintaining confidentiality
- Receive and transcribe English-language prescriptions sent electronically from
- Communicate with providers to obtain new written English-language prescriptions or
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures, federal/state laws, rules and

- Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team to maintain customer

Basic Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted in-State Board of Pharmacy License (This includes Pharmacy Technician, Trainee, and Assistant Licenses). Additional licenses may be required if domicile state differs from state of employment.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of experience working with computer and web-based tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor
- Ability to read and understand English language labelling on product cartons and prescription labels
- 1 year of phone or customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Experience navigating and troubleshooting technical issues
- 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy related role
- Experience recognizing and identifying patient medications
- Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality
