Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented Senior Contracts Manager to support Amazon Web Services, a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com. Amazon Web Services is at the forefront of the "cloud" computing and service industry providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, browsers and more. This Senior Contracts Manager will primarily support AWS's product development functions. You must be able to work independently and have excellent communication skills as this position involves direct contact with principal business owners.
The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard, being continually challenged, working in a team-oriented environment, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in drafting and negotiating the legal terms in a broad range of standard commercial contracts
- Can use AI for legal research, contract analysis, or document review
- Can manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience with complex commercial/legal concepts and drafting, ability to quickly read and interpret legal terminology and reasoning
- 7 years of drafting and negotiating the legal terms in a broad range of standard commercial contracts experience
- Knowledge of specific legal AI tools (like CoCounsel, Spellbook, or Harvey AI) and their benefits
- Experience in drafting and negotiating the legal terms inbound technology licensing and procurement contracts or a broad range of standard commercial contracts
