As part of the AWS Compliance & Security Assurance (CSA) organization, the Security Controls, Policies, and Assessments team reinvents AWS Security's approach to managing operational risks — making security transparent for builders and ensuring effective Governance, Risk, and Control operations through builder engagement workflows, specialized security requirements, compliance assessments, and policy documentation.
We are looking for an experienced people manager who is passionate about building and developing high-performing teams, driving strategic security and compliance assessment programs, and raising the bar on security at unparalleled scale. In this role, you will lead a team of risk assessors responsible for reviewing AWS services for security and compliance prior to launch, aligned to AWS's security controls framework, driving compliance assessment processes, and enabling customers operating in regulated markets such as Healthcare, Finance, and Government.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Auditing, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or other related fields
- Experience performing technical audits/assessments in direct support of a major compliance effort (e.g., ISO, NIST, SOX, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR and other regulatory/industry certifications)
- 5 years experience in IT audit, cloud engineering, and/or cloud security.
- 5 years experience managing a team of 5 or more including providing guidance on career progression, promotion, and performance management.
- Experience with technology risk, IT security audit, compliance and/or relevant regulatory knowledge
