Key job responsibilities

Customer Obsession — Serve as the primary advocate for e-commerce customers, deeply understanding their business challenges and translating those insights into tailored AWS solutions that drive measurable growth and long-term loyalty.

Earn Trust / Deliver Results — Engage directly with C-level executives at leading retail and e-commerce organizations to build trusted advisor relationships, align on strategic priorities, and deliver quantifiable business outcomes — from revenue acceleration to operational efficiency gains powered by AWS.

Think Big — Champion a bold vision for how AI and cloud-native technologies are reshaping the future of commerce, inspiring customers and internal teams to reimagine what's possible and pursue transformational opportunities rather than incremental improvements.

Ownership — Own the full sales cycle and customer success lifecycle for a portfolio of strategic e-commerce accounts, driving pipeline growth, accelerating deal velocity, and ensuring customers realize the full value of their AWS investments.

Hire and Develop the Best — Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of people leaders and account managers, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and customer-first thinking that raises the bar across the organization.

Bias for Action — Operate with urgency in a fast-moving market, making high-quality decisions quickly to capitalize on emerging AI and e-commerce trends before the competition — turning insights into action and action into results.

A day in the life

Your day begins with a C-suite briefing — advising a Fortune 500 retailer's CEO on leveraging AI to unlock new revenue streams on AWS. By midday, you're shaping AWS's e-commerce strategy alongside internal leaders, turning market signals into bold moves. Afternoons are spent inspiring your team — coaching rising talent, championing inclusivity, and raising the bar on what great looks like. You close the day having moved the needle: a breakthrough customer win, a teammate elevated, and a culture where every voice drives innovation. This is leadership at the speed of E-commerce.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of sales team management experience
  • Experience hiring and leading sales or account management teams focused on acquiring and managing enterprise customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
  • Experience in e-commerce/Hi-tech/Retail industry or management consulting with focus on one of these industries
  • Experience engaging and influencing C-level executives, both business and technical
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in MBA highly desired

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
