Essential Functions Key Responsibilities**
The role is a hybrid role in which the Fleet Tech will support our team of drivers and work directly with management to ensure that the goals and vision of the company is met.
Fleet tech may wear multiple hats including but not limited to fleet maintenance, ensure compliance with DVIC, may dispatch, help with load out and perform rescues.
Fleet Tech must plan to run routes on occasions as needed.
Key requirements**
1. Must be able to work under tight deadlines all the time.
2. Maintain fleet appearance, general cleaning internal and external.
3. Ensure team adherence to DVIC Pre and Post-trip inspection and update applicable systems and logs * Debrief with team members to close out the day.
4. Collect van kits and ensure devices are charged appropriately and ready for next day use.
5. Must be able to safely operate and navigate a delivery van, GVWR 10,000 lbs. or less.
6. Must be able to load and unload packages up to a maximum 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation, during a 12-hour work shift.
7. Schedule vehicles for maintenance and ensure a replacement vehicle is available.
8. Organize or help with emergency field repairs (e.g., minor field repairs, pull-puts, tire changes, tows, etc.
9. Change/patch tires, change broken mirrors/light bulbs, windshield wipers.
10. Tow vehicles during the day when needed.
11. Clean interior and exterior of the vans. Record new damages.
12. ATTENDANCE and COMMUNICATION are KEY requirements for this position.
13. Must have experience towing vehicles
