The Device, Digital & Alexa Support (aka. D2AS) organization provides the best customer support and experience for customers using our devices, digital & Alexa applications. The D2AS Knowledge Management team focuses on providing personalized and relevant information to our customers by making help Pages discoverable and easy to navigate.
D2AS team is currently hiring an Ontologist to support Semantic Search. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, testing, implementation, and management of D2AS specific ontologies. You will work closely with Content Authors, Engineers, and Applied Scientists in driving excellence and innovation. For this role, we are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and talented individual who has experience building ontologies that support content search systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with key stakeholders to understand and document requirements for the digital and device content domains
- Exercise judgement in applying existing ontology standards
- Work with applied scientists and others to develop metrics for ontology usage
- Work with business and domain experts to develop and evolve D2 contents
- Translate customer’s business requirements into technical/functional ontology implementation for the engineers
- Ability to evangelize ontology concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Work collaboratively with other technical teams on knowledge-engineering focused projects
- Experience deploying ontologies in a business setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience working as part of a start-up team within a larger company
- Experience with graph databases
- Experience working with RDFS, OWL, and SPARQL
- Experience with Protégé
