About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Install Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure within AWS data centers. This is an excellent opportunity for members of the military community with hands-on technical, networking, cabling, or data center experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain copper and fiber-optic network cabling.
• Install, rack, stack, and cable network equipment and hardware.
• Perform equipment troubleshooting, break-fix, and replacement activities.
• Use test equipment and follow technical documentation to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Perform cable routing, labeling, termination, and connectivity testing.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional data center environment.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support data center operations.
• Follow established safety procedures, standards, and operational processes.
• Support scheduled maintenance and respond to operational needs, including after-hours support when required.

Basic Qualifications

• 18 months of experience working in a data center, critical environment, telecommunications, or another relevant technical field.
• 18 months of experience working with network cabling, fiber optics, copper cabling, or related infrastructure.
• Experience using tools and test equipment to install, troubleshoot, and verify network connectivity.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation, diagrams, and procedures.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding data center environment and safely handle equipment and materials.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
